The development impacts are also well known through higher wages, increased productivity and competitiveness.  The Launch 54 Digital Manufacturing and Industrial Studio seeks to help spur the adoption of digital manufacturing in Africa’s technology SMEs and startups. The Studio will thus focus on helping African companies and startups to deploy technologies such as additive manufacturing, digital design and devices, and rapid and low cost prototyping. The studio will immerse companies in the utilization of Digital design and software in the various stages of the manufacturing process such as product design, production planning, engineering and execution to build product innovations at reduced costs.  Using a high touch and project based approach, the studio will provide African innovators and entrepreneurs the ability to design, test, and produce new products which will begin to push the frontiers of African innovation and inspire a new movement of high growth entrepreneurship in modern manufacturing.
